Welcome HandsOn Connect Partners!

The documentation presented here will guide you through the basic operation of the “Partner Portal” available to you as a partner of an organization using HandsOn Connect (a product of the Points of Light Institute).

HandsOn Connect will allow you to post, edit and manage volunteer opportunities through your host’s site and it’s portal for partner organizations. It gives you the tools to manage volunteers, verify their attendance, and report on all aspects of your volunteer operation.

HandsOn Connect is a flexible and powerful technology and each host site has the ability to customize the portal experience for their partners — so your actual portal experience may differ from the documentation as it’s presented here. But this is a great place to start learning about using HandsOn Connect.

This documentation is searchable via keywords and phrases, and individual lessons or the entire manual can be exported as a .pdf and printed if you desire. The content here is frequently updated as HandsOn Connect, and the Salesforce Platform that is built upon are upgraded on a frequent basis.

In your version of the portal, colors and layouts may look different than the screen shots pictured here. Some features explained here may not be accessible to you — and your host may have enabled additional features not covered in these documents.
